Job Description

Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and support the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, and cash flow projections.

  • Manage fuel expense tracking, fleet cost analysis, and DOT compliance reporting.

  • Ensure proper job costing, expense allocations, and profitability analysis per truck/load.

  • Lead a small team of accounting professionals and support staff.

  • Work closely with the operations and fleet management teams to track expenses and optimize cost efficiency.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and trucking industry accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in trucking, transportation, or logistics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or Trucking-Specific Accounting Software (e.g., Axon, McLeod, TMW, ProTransport).

  • Strong understanding of fuel tax reporting (IFTA), freight billing, and fleet cost tracking.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
